There is one week left to have a volunteer complete tax returns at the library. The CVIT program will be in-person on April 20 and 27, 1-3 p.m., and offering the final drop-off service on April 25, 6:30-8 p.m.

On April 29, 6 p.m., enjoy an '80s throwback night with "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" starring Bob Hoskins and lots of Toons. Then on May 7 at 1 p.m. "Women Talking" is playing as part of the Afternoon Movie Club.

There's plenty to learn every week at the library. On Mondays at 4 p.m., join a French conversati­on group. All skill levels are welcome. Cricut tech help is available by appointmen­t. Email charlottet­own@gov.pe.ca to set up a time. General tech help is Saturdays, 2-4 p.m. Starting on May 2, 10 a.m. to noon, and running for four weeks there is a seniors Tinkercad workshop. This is a hands-on learning experience covering the basics of 3D digital design and printing using Tinkercad.

Other weekly programs include Fibre Arts Club Tuesdays,1-3 p.m., and Scrabble Club, 5-8 p.m.

Monthly programs include Seniors Board Game Club, April 22, 1-3 p.m., and a monthly board game café, April 24, 6 p.m. Crafternoo­n on May 8 at 1 p.m. will feature squeegee painting canvasses with all supplies provided. Register in advance. Seniors café is May 16, 1 p.m., with a meditation program offered by Michael Gaudet from GEBIS.

Special events include basics of bread making, taught by Sheila from the WI, May 7, 6:30 p.m. Reserve a space by calling 902-368-4642. Health P.E.I. patient navigators presentati­ons are May 4 and May 14, 10-11:30 a.m. Patient navigators provide help with accessing services and supports throughout P.E.I. Register by phone to learn about available resources.

P.E.I. poet laureate Tanya Davis will be offering a poetin-residence session on May 9, 3-5 p.m. Call to make an appointmen­t with Tanya.

Anime Club (ages 18+) is May 14, 6 p.m., a chance to watch and discuss an episode of anime shown in the original Japanese with English subtitles.

For ages 13-18, special events are coming up on PD days. Creative hangout (blackout poetry and upcycled notebooks) is April 19 and painting and planting is May 3, both 2-3 p.m. On April 28, 1-3 p.m. linocut print making is scheduled. All supplies are provided.

On May 1, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Nintendo Switch meet up is happening. Bring a Switch or use the library’s.

PD Day programs happen for younger kids as well, and for ages six to 12, a five senses program is April 19 and super stamping is May 3. Both run 10-11 a.m.

Starting May 12, 3:45-4:45 p.m., there will be fourweek family yoga and dance program with Monelli Rahmatian. Register at 902-3684642. Wear comfy clothes and bring ayoga mat and water bottle.
