Peacefully, with family by her side, at the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home on Thursday, April 25, 2024 of Margaret Lamont, aged 92 years. Born in Long River, October 25, 1931, daughter of the late Allan and Margaret (Stevenson) Campbell. Wife of the late Walter Lamont. Mother of Eleanor and Gordon of Charlottetown, Donald (Jan), David (Donna) and Nancy, all of Calgary. Grandmother of Katie Bradley, Alex Bradley, Bob Wyse and Mandie Fulton (Chris Legge). Great-grandmother of Cole and Zach Fultonlegge. Sister-in-law of Wilma Campbell, Wilbur Lamont (Janet), and Shirley Lamont. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, Andrew Campbell and Bill Campbell, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bertha (Hollis) Mackay, Helen (Stan) Maclean, Louise (Gordon) Weeks and Fred Lamont and her father-inlaw and mother-in-law, Donald and Gertrude (Clark) Lamont. For many years Margaret and her late husband Walter owned and operated the Cavendish Trail Rides. She was a horsewoman and a racing fan. The connections she made with the employees at the Trail Rides led to all of them becoming family to her. The family wish to thank the staff of the PEI Atlantic Baptist Home for their excellent care and support. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. Visitation was held on Monday from 4-6 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. and will be available to view online by following the link on the online death notice on the funeral home’s website.
