Volunteers lend a hand to clean up Grand Bay West beach in Port aux Basques
On Saturday, June 16 members of the Sou’west Newfoundland Delta Waterfowl, along with family, friends and other volunteers headed out to Grand Bay West as part of an ongoing cleanup project.
“Well it was one of the goals when we started this delta chapter. To regularly organize habitat cleanup,” said Mark Lomond. “This will be done regularly in different areas as often as we can.”
In total, the group hauled away 15 bags of garbage as well as larger items such as tires.
