The anointed one

The Gulf News (Port aux Basques) - - Editorial - BY REV. CLAYTON BILLARD

“O Come let us adore Him!” Christmas Day is the time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, The Christ Child. The Greek word “Christ” means “the anointed one”.

Jesus was born and “anointed” to be our Prophet, Priest and King. As Prophet he is our teacher. As Priest he is our Saviour. As King he is our Lord. Invite him into your life this Christmas.

Birthdays are all about sharing the day with family and friends. This is a special birthday. Be sure to make it a family event and attend the Church of your choice during the Christmas Season. God will richly bless you.

Every good wish and season’s greetings from the Wardens, Vestries and Congregations of the Anglican Parish of Grand Bay.
