Wimpy’s opens franchised location on the Mountain

A new diner has joined the Wimpy’s chain in Hamilton.

The new franchised location is at 989 Fennell Ave. E., in the Fennell Plaza mall at Upper Gage Avenue.

Wimpy’s began in 1961 as Wimpy’s Drive-in and became a full-service restaurant in 1988. A second location was added in 1992. There are 44 locations in Ontario, with a ’50s and ’60s decor featuring hamburgers, all-day breakfast, lunch specials and homestyle meals.

Existing area locations are on Main Street West at Queenston Road in Hamilton, Wilson Street West in Ancaster and Guelph Line in Burlington.
