Jesus wasn’t all sunny ways

RE: A different point of chronology (March 30)

The writer mentions the teaching of Jesus’s life and claims there was no record of practising or inciting violence.

Isn’t this the same Jesus who said: “Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughterin-law, and the daughter-in-law against her mother in law.” (Luke 12:51-53)

Or who “made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables.” ( John 2:15)

We won’t even get into cursing fig trees for being out of season. Bruce McMicking, Dundas
