Loomis right in criticizing Whitehead

RE: Chamber CEO Loomis takes Whitehead to task (March 30)

I would like to publicly congratulate and thank Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Keanin Loomis for calling out Coun. Terry Whitehead for his continued efforts to disrupt traffic calming and LRT progress in our city. From everything I read in The Spec and online, Whitehead and a few others seem to want to stick to the car culture planning that has been proven time and again to not benefit people or businesses. Loomis is a professional who gives advice based on documented facts on how to improve our city and business community, unlike Whitehead and company, who seem to care less about what’s best for our city and more about how to get votes.

Time for some of our more forward-thinking members of council to start calling out colleagues who are taking the same road (pun intended) as Whitehead. Don Holland, Hamilton
