Pedestrian deaths reach eight-year peak

Ontario Provincial Police say the number of pedestrian­s killed in crashes is the highest in eight years. Police say 30 pedestrian­s have died so far this year, compared with 25 in all of last year. It’s the highest pedestrian death toll since 2007, when 37 people were killed over the course of the year.
