Tolerance goes in one direction

RE: Rival rallies descend on city hall (March 6)

If people would calm down, they would discover that we all want the same thing. We want freedom of religion and freedom to express our opinion. Canadian law already guarantees that.

However, something strange has crept into Canadian culture. Some vocal groups have decided they deserve that freedom more than others do and, as a result, tolerance goes in one direction for a few issues.

Canada does not need a motion to make one religion or group deserve Canadian freedom more than others.

If I may add — if while you protest, your face needs to be covered, maybe you’re on the wrong side of the fight! Jane Oosterhoff, Dunnville
