Thousands of events are held annually throughout the world to celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day and to inspire women and celebrate achievemen­ts. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conference­s, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatric performanc­es, fashion parades and more. EVENTS SUCCESS IN THE CITY

March 8 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Carmen’s Banquet Centre Hamilton’s premier networking event for women. The event will be hosted by Jeanne Beker, Canadian journalist, media personalit­y and fashion entreprene­ur and includes a feature address by Rosita Hall networking, tradeshow and a business and entreprene­urship panel. THE 14TH ROTARY CLUB OF ANCASTER AM FASHION SHOW –

Party in White Presented by the Rotary Club of Ancaster AM May 24, doors open at 6 p.m. Michelange­lo Banquet Centre, 1555 Upper Ottawa St. The proceeds from this year’s “Party in White” themed show will go for the developmen­t of a Pediatric Therapeuti­c Mental Health Courtyard at McMaster Children’s Hospital as well as to other Rotary charities. “Party In White” will be a fun filled evening of glamour and excitement!
