No friend of the environment

RE: Harsh truths from the environment commissioner (April 11)

The author reports that Dr. Saxe paints a dreary picture of the climate change issues the world is facing. I find it amazing that she says “the Ontario government deserves kudos for its role in national and international co-operation on climate change.”

This is the government that decided last summer single drivers can drive in HOV lanes, meant for environmentally-concerned car-poolers, by simply paying a fee. Russell Pape, Stoney Creek
