Man hit by vehicle on King Street East

A man was taken to hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle while crossing King Street East at Cochrane Road Monday afternoon.

The collision, which involved a pedestrian police described as elderly, took place around 3 p.m., said Staff Sgt. Steve Hahn.

The man was crossing King when he was struck by the vehicle, which made a left turn onto King from Cochrane, he said.

Both King and Cochrane were closed at the intersection while police investigated, Hahn said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-546-4755.
