Pig protesters put themselves at risk

RE: Woman who gave water to pigs not guilty (May 5)

Let me get this straight. Any number people with squeeze bottles filled with unknown liquids can reach into a vehicle weighing tons filled with an unpredictable live cargo whenever they deem fit. One can only hope that this same judge is in the courtroom the day when an activist’s arm or sleeve snags and they fall under the wheels and are hurt or crippled for life. Protesters on medians between live lanes of traffic are not invincible, and the farms, transport companies and ultimately the drivers shouldn’t be held responsible if the actions of these individuals result in their harming themselves.
