Congratulations to the Hamilton Spectator’s crew of professional journalists. Twelve of 24 nominations received Ontario Newspaper Awards, and four were nominated in the national competitions. In both print and media, talented journalism not only lives but thrives, as an essential bulwark against slippery and unscrupulous ‘fake news.’
