Two-time Juno winner Jack de Keyzer teams up with Hamilton keyboard virtuoso Jesse O’Brien for an intimate evening of blues and roots music upstairs at the Coach and Lantern pub, 384 Wilson St. in Ancaster, on Thursday. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $20.

SHAD AND TALL SHIPS

Eleven sailing ships, B.A. Johnston and Shad … all for free. Head down to Pier 8, 47 Discovery Dr. on Hamilton’s waterfront Friday and Saturday for the city’s Tall Ships Festival. There will be live music from 6 to 10 p.m. both nights. Shad headlines Friday at 9, while Jennifer Castle and Hooded Fang perform Saturday with MC Johnston.

JULLY BLACK

Join Canada’s 150th birthday party Saturday at Bayfront Park, featuring live music by Canadian queen Jully Black, singer-songwriter Sarah Slean and Juno-winning bluesman Steve Strongman. Fireworks finale set to music performed live by Boris Brott and the National Academy Orchestra.

THE SADIES

Country rock band The Sadies join fiddle sensation Ashley MacIsaac on the main stage of It’s Your Festival at Gage Park Saturday. Indie-rock crooner David Usher (of Moist) is the headliner Friday, while Ammoye, Jay Cartier, Eyesus and Hardcore provide a night of reggae on Sunday.

AIR GUITAR

It takes a lot of talent to look like a guitar god, while playing absolutely nothing. Guys like Slash and Van Halen actually have guitars, after all. Not so with the competitor­s in the Air Guitar Canada contest Wednesday, , at This Ain’t Hollywood, 345 James St. N., 9 p.m. The local winner moves to the national championsh­ips July 15 in Toronto. $10 admission.
