Stick to City Hall, Mr. Mayor

RE: Eisenberger’s Trump tweet

We have been reading about Mayor Eisenberger weighing in on NAFTA and being ultra critical of President Trump. The crux of the situation is that President Trump is attempting to live up to his campaign promises (right or wrong) while the mayor has not.

He was not for LRT as a campaign promise, but was leaning toward funding for GO trains as a priority. He also messed up the stadium issue with the fiasco that now exists. Rather than get involved with federal politics and issues, perhaps a greater oversight with the activities of Hamilton City Hall with be more prudent. Check out the waste with the hiring of consultants and various other inefficient city projects, all costing us taxpayers a lot of money. Eric Lemberg, Stoney Creek
