CFL players deserve compensation, too
RE: Collision Course series
I’m confused about something. Why is it that anyone playing on a CFL team cannot receive any compensation for long-term difference or disability if they sustain injuries on the job? Tell me, as much as you want, that the dangers are very well-known, as they are for anyone doing stunts or other jobs of a supposedly similar nature.
That doesn’t excuse the fact that many people who engage in physically dangerous jobs, such as policing and firefighting, are completely entitled to receive such payments as necessary. No matter the financial cost involved, double standards are much more costly according to a psychological definition. May CFL players receive equal rights ASAP. It’s the minimum they deserve.
