The number of weeks it took for Sarnia to climb to the top of the CHL rankings. The 12-1 Sting, which starts the weekend on an 11-game winning streak, first appeared on the list at No. 8 before jumping to No. 2 a week ago. Sault Ste. Marie also made it at No. 6 this week, while Peterborou­gh and Owen Sound slipped out of the Top 10.

The number of Sarnia players who are among the OHL’s Top 10 scorers going into the weekend. Jordan Kyrou has the second-most points in the league at 22, followed by Adam Ruzicka at 20. Brady Hinz and Drake Rymsha are at 16 apiece.

The number of goals Dave Andreychuk scored for the 1981-82 Oshawa Generals — a tally that prompted the Buffalo Sabres to select him 16th overall at the 1982 NHL Draft. The Hamilton native is the lone OHL grad among this year’s class of Hockey Hall of Fame inductees. The induction ceremony takes place next month in Toronto.

The number of games Logan Brown played with the Ottawa Senators this season before being returned to Windsor. The 19-year-old forward made his NHL debut on Oct. 5 and recorded his first career NHL point two weeks later with an assist against Toronto. Brown was expected to return to the lineup Thursday when the Spitfires kicked off a three-game road trip in North Bay.

The number of games Alex Turko and Zach Poirier will miss after being suspended by the OHL Wednesday. Turko, a forward for the London Knights, and Poirier, a forward for the Guelph Storm, were discipline­d for head checks against a Mississaug­a player and a Sault Ste. Marie player in separate games last Sunday.

The number of points per game racked up by OHL scoring leader Nick Suzuki this season. That puts the 18-year-old Owen Sound forward on pace to score roughly 142 points by end of the campaign — 15 more than last year’s high scorer Alex DeBrincat.

The number of games in which Ottawa has gone to overtime as of Thursday. The 67’s have won six — five in three-on-three and one in a shootout — giving them the second-best OT record in the OHL.

The number of OHL goalies traded in the past 10 days. In the first deal, the Soo sent Joseph Raaymakers to London for Tyler Johnson. Guelph then shipped former Bulldog Cole Ceci to Oshawa before Barrie traded Christian Propp to North Bay via Owen Sound.

The number of career goaltendin­g wins racked up by overage veteran Justin Fazio — the most in Sarnia’s 24-year history. The 20-year-old hometown boy surpassed former record holder Patrick DesRochers — now the Sting’s radio colour commentato­r — with his 37-save performanc­e against Barrie last week.

The number once worn by Generals scoring great Tony Tanti and which was retired in Oshawa Saturday night. The Toronto native notched 338 points in 154 regular season games with the Gens in the early 1980s before going on to a 12-year NHL career. His number joins those of Bobby Orr, Red Tilson, Marc Savard, Eric Lindros and John Tavares in the rafters at Tribute Communitie­s Centre.
