The Hamilton-based alt-folk trio quickly sold out one show (Friday) at Mills Hardware, 95 King St. E., and added a second on Thursday, Nov. 9, 8 p.m. with Odd Years. Toronto/Montreal art-rock group Timber Timbre’s new Arts & Crafts album “Sincerely, Future Pollution” portrays a gothic cinematic dystopia filled with eerie synthesizers and ominous beats. Hamilton’s Alfie Smith and his partner Nicole Christian (a native New Yorker) are representing the Western N.Y. Blues Society at the 2018 International Blues Challenge in Memphis. SOUL MOTIVATORS
The gritty deep-funk of the Soul Motivators has become a favourite at This Ain’t Hollywood and the Toronto-based band is returning Friday, Nov. 10, for its eighth appearance at the Hamilton club (345 James St. N.).
