About that parking ticket

Wow, the decimation and rejection of an entire university and city, including its population, in 250 words or less. It is been a while since I’ve read someone eloquent enough to reveal their views on materialism, entitlement and their idolatry of money in just a few paragraphs. An entire life is now based on a parking ticket; a modern day parable.
Perhaps it’s just as well, given the world recognized and respected philosophy of McMaster’s Medical School for teaching through collaboration and sharing, not individualism, and it’s internationally copied acceptance criteria of evaluating the person, not the marks.
I wish Mr. O’Brien and his daughter luck in finding an institution to their satisfaction where for the next 4 to 6 years she will find herself henceforth known as just a student number competing with all the other student numbers. Steve Thomas, Hamilton
