More on that ticket

RE: An expensive parking ticket (Letter Dec. 1)

-

I felt I just had to address Mr. David O’Brien from Belleville’s (where one assumes no one receives parking tickets) vitriolic letter. Such rage over a parking ticket, it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad. It’s indicative of a society where a perceived injustice incurs this wrath because of a sense of entitlement.

That his daughter’s parking ticket would cause Mr. O’Brien to be “the least supportive person in Canada of the City of Hamilton” and McMaster graduates (who were forced to deal with this “abuse” in the pursuit of their education), is completely out of perspective. Tsk, tsk Mr. O’Brien, pay the ticket and be proud of your daughters’ achievements without bludgeoning people over the head with them. Nadine Stout, Dundas
