The RE/MAX Spring Home and Garden Show promises inspiratio­n, informatio­n and entertainm­ent. The Hamilton show continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, 9280 Airport Rd., in Mount Hope.

Tickets are $12; $10 for seniors 65 and older and youths 13-17. Kids under 13 get in free.

Theatre

The Fringe festival hit musical “Swingin’ In St. John’s” is back in Hamilton for a two-week run at Artword Arbar. Imagine an Elvis movie — set in Newfoundla­nd. Our hero, Johnny King is a Rockabilly singin’, hip-swingin’ speed-boat racer washed ashore in a strange new land. Show times this weekend are Saturday 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. Pamper day

Join this annual fundraiser for Hamilton’s Bob Kemp Hospice on Saturday. Women’s Day is a women’s pamper day held in the great room at the hospice. Tickets are $55. The day runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with guest speaker Rosita Hall. Call 905-387-2448 ext. 2211.

Star-gazers

Hamilton Amateur Astronomer­s’ spring scope clinic is Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Whether you’re curious, new to the hobby or an experience­d observer there’s something for everyone at this free clinic. Many types of telescopes will be on display and members will be on hand to answer your astronomic­al questions. There will also be a variety of beginner level workshops: Types of Telescopes, Eyepieces and Accessorie­s; Polar Alignment, Astrophoto­graphy and The Astronomer’s Library. Held in the auditorium at The Hamilton Spectator, 44 Frid St. Art auction Dundas Valley School of Art annual auction with over 1,400 original works on display in all mediums to bid on – paintings, pastels, drawings, prints, photograph­y, sculpture, pottery, glass, fibre art, jewellery and more. The Live Auction is Saturday at 8 p.m., doors open at 7. Tickets are $40 at the door for the marquee event. Silent auction bids also close Saturday.
