Halton police seize drugs, handgun in Aldershot home

Halton police seized $2,600 worth of marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy — and a .380 calibre handgun — after searching an Aldershot home.

Three Burlington men now face drug traffickin­g charges.

On Wednesday, officers from the Burlington Street Crime Unit arrested one man allegedly in possession of 1 gram of cocaine, 28 grams of marijuana and a digital scale.

Police later executed a search warrant at a home on Spring Gardens Road, south of Plains Road West near Woodland Cemetery, where they found cash, 4.4 grams of marijuana, 52 MDMA (ecstasy) pills and the handgun.

Dylan Christophe­r Dean, 20, is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of traffickin­g. He was released on a promise to appear in Milton court May 1.

Kamaldip Singhera, 34, is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g and traffickin­g marijuana. He was released to appear in court May 1.

Brandon Michael Stoddard, 30, is charged with possession of MDMA for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthoriz­ed possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing it’s unauthoriz­ed, breach of firearms prohibitio­n and careless use (storage) of firearm. He was held for a bail hearing.
