CFL mini-camps are up and running with teams around the league hitting the field for the first time in 2018.

The Montreal Alouettes kicked off the slate in Vero Beach, Fla., this week, with close to 30 players participating — mainly from the offensive side of the ball — including quarterback Josh Freeman. The Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts were back at IMG Academy this week in Florida with all players on the roster attending.

The Ottawa Redblacks will be in the familiar confines of TD Place beginning Monday. Same with the Tiger-Carts at Tim Hortons Field on Tuesday. All three days of the Ticat mini-camp are open to the public and begin each day at 11 a.m.

The Winnipeg Bombers are staying in Winnipeg with every quarterback and a mix of firstyear players and veterans planning to be there. Saskatchewan will have up to 40 veteran players at their mini-camp including new quarterback Zach Collaros and the rest will be first-time CFL players.

For the first time in team history, the Edmonton Eskimos will have current roster players at mini-camp in Las Vegas. The Calgary Stampeders are at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., with mostly CFL newcomers but also new players to the team making the trip.

The B.C. Lions hold their camp in Vancouver, beginning Tuesday.
