Canada’s Innovation Corridor

Regional Connectivity, Global Competitiveness

-

The Hamilton Chamber is committed to helping our members grow and prosper. More than ever, this means facilitating access to supply chains and markets beyond our local boundaries.

That’s why we teamed up with other leading chambers of commerce and boards of trade across the Greater Golden Horseshoe on a bold economic partnership. It’s called Canada’s Innovation Corridor, a dynamic region anchored by Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton-Burlington. Our mission is to work in collaboration with elected leaders and other key players to advance a modern, highly connected economy that can compete and win on the world stage. Three focus areas essential to long term regional success are people and goods movement, next generation talent, and high growth industrial sectors, including advanced manufacturing enabled by digital technology.

By working together to unlock regional and global opportunities, local chambers are helping member businesses and municipalities succeed. Here’s how three chamber leaders describe the power of Canada’s Innovation Corridor: “Canada’s Innovation Corridor is an incredible economic zone with a density of manufacturing and technology that represents a tremendous opportunity for Ontario and the entire country.” Jan De Silva, President and CEO, Toronto Region Board of Trade “Canada’s Innovation Corridor supports companies and communities by strengthening collaboration among business, government and academia.” Ian McLean, President and CEO, Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce “The work we’re doing today to build out Canada’s Innovation Corridor is setting up the future economy of our region.” Keanin Loomis, President and CEO, Hamilton Chamber of Commerce
