Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Hamilton Ontario in her 94th year. Barbara will be missed by her brother Barry (Barbara) and sister Pam (Cyril). Predecease­d by her brothers Jack, Bob and David. Sisters Peggy and Avis. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, especially Chris, Daphne and Jeff. Barbara was born and raised in Gloucester­shire, England, always noting with great pride, in the area of the Forest of Dean. Before moving to Canada in 1955, she obtained her Degree in Nursing, also becoming a State Certified Midwife at the General Hospital in Middlesex. Upon her arrival in Hamilton, Barbara was employed at the H.P.H then moved onto Henderson Hospital. She was also an employee, for over 28 years, of the Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton. Barbara was founding member and life time supporter of the Geritol Follies. In her retirement, she went “On Tour” with her “Follies” family to Toledo, Florida and Scotland, assisting the troop backstage. Barbara’s family wish to thank the dedicated staff of Idlewyld Manor for their patience and the excellent care she received while residing there. Following Barbara’s wishes, cremation and interment have taken place. If desired, memorial contributi­ons to Mission Services of Hamilton would be appreciate­d.
