CAREY, Verna May

Peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Billings Court Manor, just over a week before her 94th birthday. Predeceased by her beloved husband Don (1992). Loving mother of Bill and Brenda, Bev and Mike Warwick, and Joan and Brian Benvenuti. Cherished Grammie of Josh (Kerri), Jake (Carolyn), Loraine (Rob), Clay (Amy), Brandon (Annie), Tyrell, and great-grandmother of Natalie, Jenna, Kayden, Marley, Hadlee, James, Lukas, and Jack. Predeceased by her brothers Lloyd and Roy Smye. Verna will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Dorothy Smye, Alena Smye, Phyllis Carey, and many nieces and nephews. Verna took pride in being the longest member of Flamborough Baptist Church, having attended since she was 5 years old. Special thanks to the staff at Billings Court Manor for all of their care and support. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME,

146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. Private family interment will be held at Waterdown Cemetery prior to the service. A Reception will be held at Notre Dame Convent, Waterdown following the service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
