After a life well-lived over 92 years, Betty passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Juravinski Hospital, with loving son Mark holding her hand all the way. Predecease­d by brother Ivor Brown (1992) and husband Eric (2009). Also survived by nephews Warren Brown (Debby, Kyle) and Donald Brown, and by beloved sisterin-law Julia Hodgetts. Loved aunt to Cath and Toby Jenkins, Anne and Dave Wickens, Bob and Pat Boulby, Caroline and Kevin Moye, Neil and Paula Boulby, Carolyn and Jeff Bernacci, Patrick Bradshaw, and their respective families. Special life-long friend to Audrey Collins, Janice Duncan, Barb Rogers, their families, and to her entire Ryerson United Church family, who were always there with friendly calls and visits. Sincerest thanks to Barb Karschti, Scott Lane, Sharyn Troisi, and Leah Ray for their assistance in making mum’s life easier, to Dr. Alistair Ingram at St. Joseph’s, and the emergency staff at Juravinski Hospital, especially angels Carole and Marcia, for treating my mother as their own. To all those who knew and cherished my mother, know that she cherished you tenfold. You kept the joy in her life, and her energy came from you. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m. at Ryerson United Church, 265 Wilson Street East, Ancaster. A reception will follow in the Fireside Room. Arrangemen­ts entrusted to DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME - ANCASTER CHAPEL. In lieu of flowers donations to Ryerson United Church of Ancaster or the charity of your choice would be appreciate­d by the family.
