Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Juravinski Hospital on May 23, 2018 in his 92nd year. Eugene is predecease­d by his devoted wife and friend of 67 years, Joyce. He will be greatly missed by his children Barry (Mary), Brian, Beverly (Nick) and Barbara (Hugh). Eugene was the loving grandfathe­r of Tomas, Marco, Domini, Megan, Anthony, Reanne, Mariah, Matthew and Philip. He will be fondly remembered by his many relatives and friends. Eugene was a very active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish. He was a long standing member of the building and finance committees, which brought many additions and improvemen­ts to the parish. His work in constructi­on was his passion. Eugene owned and operated Baldasaro and MacGregor Ltd. for almost 30 years. Later, he managed three other constructi­on companies prior to his retirement at the age of 80. Eugene enjoyed his final years at home with the love and support of Alice, Claudette and Hannah. Gene’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to his wonderful caregivers. As well, thank Dr. Christian Kraeker and the entire staff of the Inpatient Ward B-3 at the Juravinski Hospital for their remarkable compassion. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Homes,

796 Upper Gage Avenue on Sunday, May 27th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary to be shared Sunday afternoon. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (50 Brucedale Avenue) on Monday, May 28 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church Maintenanc­e Fund for Sts. Peter and Paul Parish would be greatly appreciate­d.
