Public supports Ford’s decision

The Hamilton Spectator - - Comment -

There is a great deal of commentary about Doug Ford using the notwithstanding clause, although polling suggests the public has no problem with it.

We now know that the use of the clause is not unique to Ford, but has been used several times in Quebec, without much discussion at least in the media. Is this a double standard by way of a charter provision being quite OK for Quebec but not for Ontario?
