Tourism Hamilton wins national award for new brand
The City of Hamilton’s Tourism and Culture Division won a national marketing award from the Economic Development Association of Canada for its new brand.
The award from the national organization of economic developers was announced earlier this week at EDAC’s 50th annual conference in New Brunswick.
Tourism Hamilton launched its new brand — developed in partnership with local creative agency Cinnamon Toast — late last year to help leverage the city’s renewal and capture what makes it a unique and appealing destination.
The new logo and visual presentation celebrates Hamilton’s contrasts, ranging from urban and rural, to historic and trendy.
The new tag line — “It’s In Our Character” — refers to the city as unpretentious, welcoming, unapologetically gritty and full of unexpected beauty and bold contrasts.
