Correction/ Clarification

The Hamilton Spectator - - Local -

A column in Thursday’s Spectator said during a recent mayoral debate Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring was critical of candidate Marianne Meed Ward’s involvement in the fight to save Central High School to the detriment Bateman and Lord Elgin schools. He actually said Pearson and Bateman. The same column reported that Burlington’s city clerk directed candidate Peter Rusin to remove his website, which the clerk believes is a violation of third-party advertising rules. Burlington city hall says the clerk did not demand its removal; she merely advised him of the problem. He disagreed with the assessment, and she subsequently sought further clarification from the provincial government.
