Cy­clist still crit­i­cal af­ter Tues­day morn­ing crash

A 68-year-old cy­clist re­mains in crit­i­cal con­di­tion af­ter an early-morn­ing crash that saw the him thrown from his bi­cy­cle in Glan­brook.

The cy­clist was turn­ing onto Golf Club Road from Trin­ity Church Road around 6:25 a.m. Tues­day when he was hit from be­hind. It was dark and foggy at the time and the roads were slightly wet.

The driver of the 2008 Chevro­let Mal­ibu, a 54-yearold Hamil­ton man, was not in­jured and stayed at the scene, along with a wit­ness.

Po­lice say speed and im­pair­ment were not fac­tors in the crash and are look­ing to speak with any­one who wit­nessed the col­li­sion.
