Drug bust at Mountain home sees two charged
Hamilton police have charged two men after finding $220,000 worth of drugs along with a firearm at a Mountain home.
Officers from the vice and drug unit executed a search warrant at the home on Thursday and found a “substantial amount” of illicit drugs, a firearm and ammunition.
In total, police seized 651 grams of fentanyl and heroin, 300 grams of cocaine and a non-restricted, semi-automatic Simonov SKS 1945 rifle.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Hamilton man faces drug and firearm charges while a 19-year-old man faces charges for possessing a firearm.
The accused appeared in court Dec. 7 to answer to the charges.
