How not to forget Jamal Khashoggi

-

RE: SAUDI JOURNALIST’S MURDER (DEC. 5)

People tend to forget bad incidents as we move forward with our busy lives. Especially when they don’t impact us directly.

Perhaps a way to remember the murder of this courageous journalist in such a barbaric fashion is not through threats and tariff barriers or sanctions but in a more direct way that will stay with us for years. It should remind the guilty and innocent of this crime against society on a daily basis.

Simply change the street sign near the locations of every Saudi consulate or embassy to read Khashoggi Place or Street or Drive. A black band someplace on the road sign would signify this sign is different. I am sure Turkey should be the first to do this but if only a few started soon many would follow.

It seems fitting that a man that fought injustice with words should be remembered all over the world with words. Those that read this and care please contact someone that can assist in this cause.
