Too bad trolleys are gone

-

RE: HSR TESTING BATTERY-POWERED BUS (NOV. 28)

As visions of the LRTS dance in his head, Mayor Fred seems to forget the glory days when much of downtown Hamilton was connected by clean energy trolley buses and miles of overhead power grid.

Looking back, if the city council of the day had future vision the trolleys would still be here, also if they had survived, which they did not, the onslaught of diesel buses would not be here.

The trolleys today would be deemed unique and an attempt to hold on to our fast disappearing past. Too bad they are gone.
