Passed away on Novem­ber 29th in Dal­las af­ter a brief ill­ness at the age of 78 with fam­ily at his side. Don em­i­grated from Ed­in­burgh, Scot­land in 1966 and was joined by the first love of his life Anne and two sons in 1967. Dun­das, On­tario be­came home to the fam­ily soon joined by daugh­ter Gil­lian. Don co-founded Crodon Kitchen and Bath Cen­tre in 1976 with partner Dave Crowe. Don was loved by clients, staff, friends and fam­ily for his kind­ness, gen­eros­ity and ever present smile. Af­ter Anne had a stroke Don took care of her with un­wa­ver­ing de­vo­tion for 20 years. Af­ter Anne’s pass­ing Don was for­tu­nate enough to meet and marry Marte Grif­fin in Port Is­abel, Texas where Don had re­tired. Don and Marte have en­joyed golf, sun­shine, many laughs and great friends. Don will be missed by many in­clud­ing his two grand­sons Ai­den and Keith. Don knew He was loved by Rich (Missi), Gill (Eric), Russ (Vanessa) and his wife Marte. We in­vite friends, fam­ily and any­one who was touched by his gen­eros­ity to join us in a cel­e­bra­tion of life on Jan­uary 19th (de­tails to fol­low). In lieu of flow­ers please give some­one who needs love a hug and be kind. Don would want that.
