-

Hamilton police are asking the public to help identify the culprit involved in a break-in at a jewelry store last month. Police responded to Westdale Jewellers at 2 Newton Ave. just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 7. The suspect fled before officers arrived. Police determined the burglar tried to get inside by kicking out a window but was scared off by staff. Police described the man as white with a medium build. He is six-feet-tall and was wearing black shoes, light pants, a jacket with “BUD”on the back , a backpack worn on the front of his body and a mask covering his face.
