Why intimidate Oosterhoff’s parents?
RE: LETTERS (JAN. 5)
A letter Jan. 5 stated that the visit by the police to the writer of a controversial tweet, Rob Gill, was nothing less than political intimidation. He went on to accuse the Ford government of intimidation since the citizens had done nothing more than exercise their democratic rights.
The writer has conveniently left out the fact that, in fact, Rob Gill had publicly listed the address and phone number of MPP Sam Oosterhoff’s parents. What on earth did any of this have to with Mr. Oosterhoff’s parents? Why intimidate them? The same logic could also be applied to the actions of Elsbeth Dodman. Continuous calling constitutes harassment and needs to be stopped.
