Amateurs get a CFL pledge

MONT-TREMBLANT, QUE. — The Canadian Football League and its member clubs have pledged to donate more than $4 million to amateur football this year.

“In 2018 we pledged to invest over $3 million in amateur football and I’m incredibly proud that our member clubs significan­tly surpassed that,” CFL commission­er Randy Ambrosie said. “In 2019, we are raising the bar even further.

The league added its players and coaches made more than 2,000 appearance­s at amateur football events.
