Amateurs get a CFL pledge
MONT-TREMBLANT, QUE. — The Canadian Football League and its member clubs have pledged to donate more than $4 million to amateur football this year.
“In 2018 we pledged to invest over $3 million in amateur football and I’m incredibly proud that our member clubs significantly surpassed that,” CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie said. “In 2019, we are raising the bar even further.
The league added its players and coaches made more than 2,000 appearances at amateur football events.
