See RCMP for what they re­ally are

The Cana­dian labour move­ment and Canada’s Abo­rig­i­nal peo­ple have al­ways had a con­tentious re­la­tion­ship with the RCMP.

That be­ing said, I say it is about time we look at the RCMP for what they re­ally are.

They are a paid fed­eral po­lice agency re­spon­si­ble for en­forc­ing the will of their po­lit­i­cal mas­ters and a large oil-gas con­sor­tiums — and the pub­lic be damned. Prof­its above all else. The RCMP are not your friends and, as a for­mer work­ing-class labourer, I view them as op­pres­sors.
