Yes, battery buses are better

Writer Stephen Parazader makes several excellent points in his letter on this subject. Buses can share the streets with other traffic; do not require massive and expensive construction; do not take away traffic lanes and parking spaces; do not require an exclusive right-of-way with curbed barriers that prevent crossings and left-hand turns into streets, and more. The LRT would be a huge, costly mistake. In my opinion, Mr. Parazader is totally correct, and his letter bears reading many times over. Leslie C. McLean, Burlington
