No justification for gag order

Re: Court order meant to ‘quell dissent’ (March 6)

The gag order on the folks arrested following the rail blockade in support of the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs, whose authority over their land has been ignored by the RCMP and the Coastal Gas Links company, is quite simply outrageous.

The court is preventing these people from expressing their dismay at the invasion of CGL and RCMP on unceded territory of the Wet’suwet’en people. They are not permitted to use social media to express themselves on this issue.

I support the blockades and the hereditary chiefs. I offer my support to those arrested. If you have opinions to be expressed on social media, I will gladly share them second hand.
