Time to take a deep breath and think

Re: Removing statues

It is true that much of our history has been horrible to many of our citizens. The hope is that we all learn from it. The removal of statues, request to change names etc. will not change what has happened, we do need to change things going forward. While I understand that these images may be offensive to some, do we completely eradicate our past?

Do we tear down the pyramids? Moving forward from our past mistakes is what needs to happen. Lets ALL do our best to recognize and understand each other’s concerns. History cannot be changed, but the future is in our hands. Protesters are doing so to create a better future. Everybody needs to take a deep breath and think.
