WESTON, Dr. William (Bill) Michael

-

April 16, 1958 - January 8, 2021

After a 25-year long battle with brain cancer, it is with a heavy heart that we say our final goodbyes to Dr. Bill Weston. His determination to wholeheartedly fight his illness, without letting it define him, never wavered right until the end. His passing at the age of 62 brings solemn comfort in the knowledge that he no longer must suffer and that he adamantly treated each day as a blessing, making the most he could of the life he fought ever-so-hard to continue to its fullest. He is survived by his two sons, William and Trenton, sister Joan, brother-in-law Alex, their children and grandchildren, and countless friends and family. The family would like to say a special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, PSWs, support teams, and health professionals over the years who assisted Bill throughout his journey. An intimate funeral ceremony will be held in accordance with the current health regulations. As per his wishes, a memorial Celebration of Life service will be held in his honour at the Scottish Rite in Hamilton, when COVID-permissible. Friends and family are welcome to join together at that time in celebrating Bill's life and achievements and will be notified once it is safe to gather in commemoration of his extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers: donations can be made in his memory to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada. Please sign the online Book of Condolence at www.lgwallace.ca.
