What would St. Giles have said?

-

St. Giles, the Roman Catholic hermit who lived in the forests of France in the seventh and eighth Century AD would probably say of the church bearing his name: Tear the church on Holton and Main down and turn it into a little park for people to quietly reflect on Jesus Christ and their relationship with Him. Giles was the last person who wanted attention and notoriety. His lone companion while living as a hermit was a red deer and hunters one day fired an arrow at the deer and accidentally killed Giles. He, nevertheless is remembered as the saint of cripples and is revered throughout the world with many churches named in his honour. Klaas Detmar, Ancaster
