About the owner…

-

Shutter manufacturer and business owner, Craig Jarvis, has been in the shutter industry for 24 years and a manufacturer for 9 years. “We don’t just sell shutters… we specialize in creating environmentally and family-friendly shutters at an affordable price”.

As a father of 5 and grandfather of 6, using an environmentally and family friendly V.O.C. FREE vinyl was at the top of his priorities. “Building something that is potentially toxic

and putting it in people’s homes goes against my values and beliefs. I wanted to create a safe product that I would feel comfortable putting in my own home with my own family”.

Craig has carved out a niche in the market that is as unique as his product. Before launching Smart Shutter Canada, Craig did his homework and identified the short falls and gaps in the shutter industry and addressed those issues.

Recognizing that most vinyl shutters were not environmentally friendly, Smart Shutter Canada set out to create a vinyl shutter that had the look and feel of a wood shutter, without the toxins associated with vinyl products, paints, and varnishes.

“Being a shutter dealer for many years, I knew that Shutters could be manufactured in a way that would address the issues

of traditional shutters. From the strategic placement of the control rod, to removing the mid rail, to having a V.O.C. FREE product, Smart Shutter Canada and our unique design addresses all aspects of the traditional, in order to create an outstanding shutter”.

Having a family owned business, customer satisfaction has been instrumental to the success of Smart Shutter Canada. From measuring, to manufacturing, to installing, everything is inspected, controlled by valued employees. Craig’s hands on approach ensures that every step of the process is completed with the customer in mind.

“To Smart Shutter Canada, shutter manufacturing is our industry… customer satisfaction is our business”!
