I’ll pay my share

I am glad The Spectator includes articles sent from the Canadian Taxpayers Federation. It is useful to know what they are thinking. However, Ontario finances are a local problem.

The two biggest issues we are dealing with are global in nature. We cannot shut ourselves off from COVID and its associated variants. Neither can we dissociate ourselves from the costs that will be incurred due to climate change. One need only look at B.C. or Newfoundland to see the destructive force the climate can unleash.

Higher taxes may be needed. I don’t mind paying my fair share, but it bothers me if the wealthy don’t pay theirs.
