Two Hamilton residents win awards for innovation
Two Hamiltonians won Arthritis Society awards for their innovations. Guided Hands, the brainchild of Lianna Genovese, won the People’s Choice Award for $50,000. Genovese’s device assists people with limited hand mobility in writing, painting, drawing and accessing technology. Matthew Rosato also won $50,000 for his company, PROVA Innovations. The company invented a device that guides movement in patients suffering from osteoarthritis, reducing pressure on the hips and knee joints.
