Driver tried to lure girl into car

Hamilton police are asking the public for help identifying a suspicious vehicle driven by a man who they allege attempted to lure a teenage girl into his car Monday morning. Police said in a release the man approached the 14-year-old girl just before 8 a.m. on Monday in the area of Ottawa Street South and Montclair Avenue. From his driver’s seat, the man told the girl to get in his car, police said. She refused and the man drove away north on Ottawa from King Street East. The suspicious vehicle is described as a black, newer model four-door sedan with tinted rear windows. The driver is described as a clean shaven, average build white male in his early 20s with blond hair. Anyone with information can contact police at 905-546-2907 or 905-5462963.
